Tomas Berdych has confirmed he’s split with coach Goran Ivanisevic after a disappointing performance at the 2017 French Open.

The world No. 14 crashed out in the second round to Andy Murray’s last-16 opponent Karen Khachanov in one of the biggest surprise losses of the opening stages of the competition.

Berdych had teamed up with the former Wimbledon champion in the backend of 2016 after the Croat had split from Marin Cilic midway through the season.

Ciic and Ivanisevic won the US Open together in 2014 and Berdych was clearly hoping for a boost from his coach in the twilight of his career but it simply hasn’t happened.

After the split, Berdych posted on Twitter: ‘Goran and I will not be working together anymore.

‘I enjoyed the ride and we will remain great friends.

‘Wish him all the best in the future and I am committed to go after my goals with current team.’
